Stand Alone Prints

South Atlantic

Travel offers inspiring sights, occasionally unexpected visions of all classes of sailing vessels literally crossing the waters.  The speed, grace and silence of their approach and departure is truly amazing. The occasional tinkle of a mast bell may be all there is to alert the novice passenger of the presence of other ships at sea.

Sailing East

This piece is dedicated to married couples. Common goals and shared visions. Arriving at a pre-determined destination

together, in calm waters and gentle breezes. Retirement, the golden years and gently aging together.

Quiet Village

Trout Stream

Throughout rural Canada, tiny hamlets and villages exist in picturesque surroundings. Residents value the spirit of a rural environment.  Often described as places where the word "community" actually has meaning, many of the hamlets and villages

are rich in history and a delight to visit.

Away from urban sprawl, noise and traffic, a person may revive their senses. Relax, do a little fishing and enjoy the pleasures of nature. This painting is reminiscent of some of those special times. Many northern locations provide tranquil surroundings and magnificent scenery.

Magic of Winter
Freezing rain, followed by wet snow set the stage for this piece. High winds and snow showers added a magical touch capturing the essence of the season in the park.

By The Sea
Fishing villages from
Oporto to Gibraltar come alive with activity at daybreak. The fishermen launch early to obtain their "catch" for the day. Open markets frequently deplete their stocks by mid-morning as restrauteurs negotiate and barter for the catch.

Centennial Ride-
Equine enthusiasts meet several times a season participating in trail and endurance rides. These athletes maintain high levels of conditioning for rides of 5 to 25 miles. Health checkpoints become routine. The mounts are thoroughly examined including heart rates and blood pressure to evaluate their well being. Commissioned by the Saskatchewan Endurance Riding Association, this work represents this artists perception of a preliminary gathering for the Centennial Ride, September 3rd and 4th 2005.

Dirt Hills Bandits-Claybank

These bandits are wanted throughout southern Saskatchewan. Relieving the train of its payroll for the Claybank Brickplant, and passengers of their possessions, the children onboard were asked “Got any Candy?”. Rumour has it- these outlaws may hideout between Briercrest and Coronach.  Note- the artist has altered the riders and tack to protect the identity of the horses.

The Church
Mortlach United Church
Established as a Methodist Church in 1906, this house of worship was re-dedicated as the Mortlach United Church following the amalgamation of Methodist and Presbyterian congregations in 1925. The building was later moved to its present location in Mortlach. It celebrated its 100th Anniversary in October of 2006. This piece was created in honour of 100 years of Worship.
